Team Teagan Update | 5-31

“Playing the Numbers”. I should have known many years ago that I’m not very good at playing the numbers, and although we’re still home after an amazing run of almost 3 weeks, we’re loosing the battle… Since her last visit to Club AMC, Teagan’s numbers seem to be falling almost as fast as her hair, but each day we’d cautiously take her temp and with fingers crossed, one eye closed and the other one purposely blurred we’d look and hope for a number below the dreaded 100.6… So far, as we focus, we’re still OK – barely!

Today the numbers have crept dangerously close to the “Let’s make the call” temp, and we’re almost certain that during her next visit tomorrow at Club AMC, she’ll be staying for a while… She’s just been “off” most of today, so unlike our Teagan, cranky irritable and easily agitated. Ohh, no, I’m not talking about Holly either, especially since it seems she’s been slowly accepting that Teagan is more and more emulating the wispy comb-over of Donald Trump these days. But thankfully, she (Teagan) has not been bothered much by the more “Airy” feel to the coif … And you know what, she just looks so damn cute with all her colorful little hats and caps anyways… hair or no hair, in my demented way of looking at it, and the fact she’s going bald just shows the chemo is working and she’s on her way to recovery… and she is!

Her next round of Chemo (no. 4) is was scheduled to start next Sunday (June 10th), the day after our Benefit Party at TreePaad, which should be tremendous fun for all ages. Patti and Candy (and Crew) have been busting their humps getting things ready for their opening day (which should be any day now)… The place REALLY is amazing, and if you have not considered them for your child’s party (or even if you have), you might want to come and check it out on Saturday, June 9th, from 5:00 – 10:00pm. They (Patti and Candy), have planned this benefit for Teagan (thanks guys), which will give everyone a chance to check the place out, eats some free snacks, play games or just mingle with some friends… I know we’re looking forward to it, and if all goes well, we’ll all (including Teagan and Holly), be there cheerfully sliding down one of the several waterless waterslides… If you’d like to spread the word, (and please do) or get more details, you can download our event flyer from the www.TeamTeagan.com website and while you’re there, please sign our newly installed “Guest book” too.

So for now, we’ll continue to squint an eye, cross our fingers, balance on one leg or stand on our heads (and trust us we’d do it, if we thought it would help), to keep the numbers from “passing” that 100.5 mark., even thought tonight is not looking very good as she’s burning up a bit (sad face)…
