Team Teagan Update | 5-8
âHalfwayâ. Today I drove Holly and Teagan back to âClub Albany Medâ for her 3rd round of chemotherapy, which at itâs conclusion will be the halfway point if all goes well.
She came into the childrenâs ward at CAM (Club Albany Med), like a superstar. The nurses were happy to see her and it seemed as they had been busy planning her arrival by playing rock, paper, scissors all night to see who would get her as their patient⦠obviously the word is out⦠sheâs awesome!
Sheâs being such a trooper, and taking all prodding, and poking with just a âteenyâ bit of attitude⦠Especially, when they come to do the dreaded EKG as they did tonight at 11:00pm. So, if this is a preview of whatâs to come, Holly and should just start planning our electro-shock treatments now. She does not care for those EKG techs and Holly is certain to have her hands full this week⦠I wish there was an easier wayâ¦
Iâm sure Holly and the staff at CAM will come up with some extraordinary way to get this important test done each day, as it is required during this particular treatment because of her history of going into heart-block the last time she had this. And good knows, weâd like to stay out of the PICU at all costsâ¦
Feel free to visit (Room D728) or call (262-0320), as Iâm sure Holly and Teagan would love the visitors, and Teagans blood counts are still well within the normal range this week, but unfortunately will surely drop early next week.
Keep the prayers coming, as they seem to be doing their job and keeping Holly and Teagans spirits up, as they should.
Be well, and thank you.
Juergen, Holly and Kids
