Team Teagan Update | 4-4
Holly and Teagan will be heading back to Albany Medical Center later today, to continue Teagans part "B" of her 2nd round of Chemo... Ok, I hope you're keeping track, because It's really getting confusing to me...
We expect them to be at AMC until Sunday (were hoping to have them home for Easter). Let's all keep our fingers crossed. She'll probably be back at AMC mid week anyways as her blood counts drop to dangerous levels... which will be espacially tough with it being Springs Break for the boys... and I don't have sitters or day care set up for them yet... so, some of you may get pleading "save me" calls.
I'm heading down there this afternoon with the boys to have a small Birthday Party for Holly, who is celebrating her 11th Anniversary of her 30th Birthday... make sure you send her a little Birthday Wish at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . She could certainly use a pick-me-up to lift her spirits some.
Teagan had a nice few days at home with her family, we all enjoyed having her in her home environment. We actually had an opportunity to take her out a few times including to to visit with Family at my Mom's restaurant and Church, where we were made to feel so welcome by our fellow attendees. Unfortunately, after having spent the last 5 weeks cooped up in a metal cell like hospital bed attached to wires and cords, Teagan has a new desire for FREEDOM, she does not like to sit still, be held or told in which direction to wander... makes church quite interesting, as she often overpowered the readers with her squaking and grunting as she tried to get free...
Can't wait to see what she'll pull when they try and control her at the Hospital this week... I pitty the Doctors and nurses...
In sad anticipation of her hair loss due to the Chemo, she has received numerous hats and caps and spent quite a while trying them on during our visit with family. My sister Natascha organized a Hat Drive for her at her job in Burlington Vt.(Thank You), and brought a bunch of beautiful designs... Even received one from as far away as California. I plan on taking a series of pictures of Teagan with her Hat and Cap collection to post on the website soon... she's soooo cute... Keep checking the website.
We've created a family "Health-O-Meter" on the website to help you gage our Mental and Health Status... I've been able to update that daily to kinda show where we are. Also, I've added a new "where is Teagan" page to show if she's home or at AMC - Once I get details, it will include the Room Number, Phone Number and a guide for visiting...
