Who is "Team Teagan"
Teagan and Mikayla - July 2008"Team Teagan" is made up of volunteers and familes who have been impacted by a child battleing childhood Leukemia. Team Teagan is in the process of becoming a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization.

All proceeds raised during any fundraising efforts are used to benefit selected families. Each year, Team Teagan selects one affected local family and honores them with the proceeds raised as part of the Annual 5K Benefit Run/Walk or other simular events.

Why we do this? (Our Mission)
On February 21st 2007, at 20-Months old our Daughter Teagan was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML), which was to date the worst day in our lives. She was immediately hospitalized at the Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center - "Club AMC", as we called it, to begin her chemotherapy treatments. Over the next year, we lived in a "fog" and prayed daily that we would come through this with a happy outcome.

During our ordeal we encountered countless families whose children were also suffering from some sort childhood cancer, not all survived. It is a reality of life that we had to face, and after our treatments ended, we decided to continue our efforts to bring awareness about childhood cancer and help another family who is in the midst of this terrible battle.

It is our mission as “Team Teagan” to select one family each year and use the momentum we gained during our own battle to have a fundraiser for this family. We realize that money we raise will not take away the fear and stress of dealing with the cancer, but it may take away some stress related to the tremendous expenses associated with the fight.
