Mikayla was diagnosed with Leukemia (ALL) on 3/27/08 at age 5, while she was in kindergarten at Galway Elementary School

Parents Michelle, who works for State Farm and Jason Neahr who works for Stewarts and live in Galway, New York.

Mikayla has been doing very well with her treatments. March 27th was our one year mark. We are now in maintenance and hopefully next year remission! We too had a little scare when Mikayla’s counts dropped to 300. She was place in the hospital, but thank goodness it was only for the one night. She received some antibiotic drips every three hours and finally her fever broke. She bounced right back after a week. But, boy it brought back some memories. It also was very strange, but yet comforting when the nurses already know who you are. :0)
